A children’s physical game in which a leader tells the other participants to complete various movements. The game requires a minimum of two players, one of whom is designated as "Simon." This participant calls out commands to the other participants and attempts to get them to follow a command at an inappropriate moment. If he or she states “Simon says” before giving the command, the other participants are obliged to follow the command; however, if Simon provides a command without saying “Simon says,” then the participants do not follow the command. If a participant follows a command at an inappropriate time, they are eliminated from the game. For games with three or more people, the last participant left in the game, wins. For games played with two people, Simon has a set period of time to give commands and attempt to trick the other participant.
