Five-pin Bowling

A game in which players try to knock over five pins by rolling a ball down a wooden lane.

About this activity

Five-pin bowling is a leisurely or competitive activity in which a player rolls a bowling ball toward a series of five pins placed in sequence at the end of the lane, with the objective of knocking over as many pins as possible. In each round, called a "frame," players have three shots to knock over the five pins. Games last 10 frames and scores, which are awarded depended on the pins successfully knocked over, are added cumulatively over these frames. Five-pin bowling is Canadian variation of the more popular ten-pin bowling.
